Greater Vision – Memories

Don't Try To Tell Me

Now don’t try to tell me that God is dead I just talked to Him this morning
Don’t try to tell me He’s not alive, He lives within my heart
His word is always by my side and He brightens up the way
So don’t try to tell me that God is dead I just talked to Him today

Now don’t try to tell me that God is dead, His mighty army’s leading
I have no fear when He is near, He takes good care of me
His rod and staff they comfort me, I feast upon His love
His goodness and mercy shall follow me till I reach that home above

Chorus

Now some folks claim that God is dead and that’s what the Devil wanted
Satan’s been lying and deceiving man ever since time began
Well God can’t live in a wicked mind or a life’s that filled with sin
The thing to do is put the devil out, get the love of God within

Chorus

So don’t try to tell me that God is dead I just talked to Him today

When The Home Gates Swing Open

I am on the upward road, leading to that bright abode
Where forever my soul shall be free
Won’t that be a happy time, heaven’s bells will sweetly chime
When the home gates swing open for me

That will be a happy day, when the clouds have passed away
From my care, I shall be free
When the home gates swing open for me

I’ll keep walking in His light, till my faith shall end in sight
He will lead me till safe o’er the sea
I shall find a welcome there and a crown of glory wear
When the home gates swing open for me

Chorus (x2)

From my cares I shall be free
When the home gates swing open for me, for me

Little Is Much

In the harvest field now ripen, there’s a work for all to do
Hark the Master’s voice is calling, to the harvest calling you

Now does the place you’re called to labor seem so small and little known
Well, it is great if God is in it and He’ll not forsake His own

Little is much when God is in it
Labor not for wealth or fame
There’s a crown and you can win it
If you’ll go, if you’ll go, if you’ll go in Jesus name

Look For Me

When you finally make your entrance to that city
Of jasper walls and bright golden avenues
As you behold all its beauty and its splendor
Remember there’s just one request I make of you

Look for me for I will be there too
I realize when you arrive they’ll be so much to view
After you’ve been there ten thousand years, a million, maybe two
Look for me for I will be there too

As you go down your list of firsts, there’s no question
You’ll want to see your loved ones waiting there for you
And when you feel you’ve shared your story with the last one
That wants to hear you tell just how you made it through

Look for me I’d like to hear it too
I realize when you arrive they’ll be so much to view
After you’ve been there ten thousand years, a million, maybe two
Look for me for I will be there too

Look for me for I will be there too

What A Beautiful Day

Verse 1
As I wake up with the dawning of each day that passes by
And I listen to the sound upon my ear
I can’t help but keep a watch toward the eastern sky
And I wonder if the trumpet will be the next sound that I hear

Chorus
What a beautiful day for the Lord to come again
What a beautiful day for Him to take His children home
How I long to see his face and to touch his nail scarred hands
What a beautiful day for the Lord to come again

Verse 2
All my earthly disappointments and my trials here below
Fade a way when I remember his last words
He said He’d return and receive His children unto him
And I’m longing to look upon the face of my Lord

Chorus

How I long to see His face and to touch His nail scarred hand
What a beautiful day for the Lord to come again
Again

Whosoever Will

Whosoever will may come to Jesus
Whosoever will may come
That’s the promise that He gave us
When He died to save us
That whosoever will, may come

My Jesus is a loving Savior
Who gave up his life for me
That forever and ever man could be set free
And whosoever will, may come

Chorus

That’s the promise that He gave us
When He died to save us
That whosoever will, may come

The Lighthouse

There’s a lighthouse on the hillside that overlooks life’s sea
When I’m tossed, It sends out a light that I might see
And the light that shines in darkness now will safely lead me o’er
If it wasn’t for the lighthouse my ship would sail no more

Everybody that lives around us says tear that lighthouse down
The big ships don’t sail this way anymore, there’s no use of it standin’ round
But then my mind goes back to that stormy night when just in time I saw the light
It was the light from that old lighthouse that stands upon there on the hill

And I thank God for the lighthouse, I owe my life to him
For Jesus is the lighthouse and from the rocks of sin
He has shown the light around me that I could clearly see
If it wasn’t for the lighthouse, where would this ship be

Treasures Unseen

My home may not look like a castle
My clothes may be lacking in style
And if you come sit at my table, a meager supply you might find

But Oh, It’s not what you see that makes me a king, makes me a king
To me, I’ve everything, All that I need, all that I need
Treasures unseen

God made a world filled with beauty
With things we enjoy everyday
My secret to hidden possessions
Is love Him and serve Him this way

Chorus

To me, I’ve everything, All that I need, all that I need
Treasures unseen

If That Isn't Love

He left the splendor of heaven, knowing his destiny
Was the lowly hill of Golgotha
There to lay down his life for me

Chorus
If that isn’t love, the ocean is dry
There’s no stars in the sky
And the sparrow can’t fly
If that isn’t love, then heaven’s a myth
There’s no feeling like this
If that isn’t love

Even in death He remembered
The thief hanging by His side
He spoke with love and compassion
Then He took him to paradise

Chorus

There’s no feeling like this
If that isn’t love

Pass Me Not O Gentle Savior

Pass me not, O gentle Savior
Hear my humble cry
While on others thou art calling
Do not pass me by

Savior, Savior hear my humble cry
While on others thou art calling
Do not pass me by

Trusting only in thy merit
Would I seek thy face
Heal my wounded, broken spirit
Save me by thy grace

Savior, Savior hear my humble cry
While on others thou art calling
Do not pass me by

While on others thou art calling
Do not pass me by

I'm Too Near Home

I’ve been traveling here in this life, with its heartache trouble and strife
Sometimes Satan tries to tell me to turn aside
I say Satan get thee behind, no returning in me you’ll find
I’m too near my heavenly home, where I’ll abide

I’m too near to home with my Lord
To miss sweet heaven’s reward
I’m not returning to sin, I’ve made my vow
There’s nothing to go back to, Oh praise God heaven’s in view
I’m too near my heavenly home to turn back now

There is joy in going this way, It gets sweeter everyday
My dear Lord is leading the way to realms above
He’ll be with me until the end, be my savior, guide and my friend
I’ll arrive in heaven the home of perfect love
