And The Winners Are...
September 23, 2009 9:01:10 PM
We're happy to announce that Jacob Kitson has been named Gospel Music's "Favorite Horizon Individual" by the subscribers to the Singing News Magazine! The annual Singing News Fan Awards were presented on the closing night of the National Quartet Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. Jacob has made lots of new friends since joining Greater Vision last year, and we believe he has a great future ahead of him... taking care of the two aging guys he travels with.
Also... for the eleventh consecutive year, Rodney Griffin has been named Gospel Music's "Favorite Songwriter"! Rodney's songs have not only been recorded by Greater Vision, but by many of your favorite Gospel groups and soloists. As of this writing, he has written nearly 360 songs, and continues to come up with fresh ideas for songs to convey the most important message the world will ever hear.
We would also like to congratulate our other friends who received recognition during the Fan Awards Ceremony... including our buddies, The Booth Brothers, Triumphant Quartet, The Hoppers, and The Perrys.
Our thanks to those of you who voted for Jacob and Rodney, and congratulations to all the winners!
By the way... we have posted lots of pictures from last week's NQC in our Online Galleries! You can see them by clicking here.

Greater Vision's latest CD, "Not Alone" has been named one of Christian Music's Top Ten Recordings for 2008 by the Staff and Senior Music Editors of the Gospel Music Channel. "Not Alone" is the only "traditional" Gospel recording to be placed in the Top Ten for 2008, and we are very excited and honored to be included in the list.
The writers and staff of the Gospel Music Channel described the recording by saying... "Great harmonies and poignant, powerful lyrics have always been the backbone of Greater Vision's music ministry and it's those qualities that make Not Alone one of the best discs of the year in any genre.
