Greater Vision Biography
Since December of 1990, Greater Vision has inspired audiences around the world with their rich vocal blend and their effective ability to communicate the message of the gospel. They have established a firm place at the pinnacle of Christian music, becoming the most awarded trio in the history of Gospel music.
Gerald Wolfe, the group’s founder, serves as Pianist and Emcee. Multi-Award-winning songwriter, Rodney Griffin, sings the Lead part for the Trio. Chris Allman, also an award-winning songwriter, sings Tenor. Scott Mullins is the newest member of the group, having joined in June of 2025 as the new Baritone singer.
Greater Vision has appeared regularly on the “In Touch” television program, and Gaither Homecoming Series. Gerald also serves as an occasional co-host on Bill Gaither’s syndicated “Homecoming Radio” Show, heard weekly on almost 3000 radio stations around the world, as well as on satellite radio. They are also heavily involved in the very popular “Gospel Music Hymn Sing” events in the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom, and the “Gospel Music Hymn Sing” video series.
Greater Vision’s recording, “Christmas In London with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra,” released in 2023, set a new standard for Christmas recordings in Gospel Music, becoming the first Christmas album to be named Gospel Music’s Album Of The Year, by the readers of the Singing News magazine. Produced by Trey Ivey & Gerald Wolfe, and recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, England; “Christmas In London” will be a part of many families’ Christmas traditions for generations to come.
Greater Vision’s latest recording, “Go Out To The Program” was produced by Gerald Wolfe, and features the group’s current lineup. The new CD features songs written by both Rodney Griffin and Chris Allman, along with other well-known writers, and is unique in that it was recorded “live in studio,” and is reminiscent of what listeners experience in a concert setting. In the Fall of 2026, the trio will release “Timeless,” a new, highly anticipated recording that reunites Greater Vision with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for a Classic Hymns album, produced by Trey Ivey.
Almost 150 times every year, Greater Vision presents the Gospel, through music, in a way that has endeared them to audiences around the world for more than three decades.
